Volunteer in India

Depending on interests and local needs, volunteers are placed in work settings where they can make a meaningful contribution to the improvement of local social services. Placements include primary schools, day care centers, and other similar community-oriented projects. Volunteer placements are determined after arrival in India, and are designed to involve about 20-25 hours of work per week, with one hour of mandatory community work per week. Volunteers in India also benefit from special workshops on Indian culture such as yoga and cooking, and planned excursions to local sites of interest. There will be plenty of free time for reading, relaxing and exploring the local surroundings. Volunteers are aided by local assistants who serve as guides, translators, and overall support staff.
